Kameleon tekstildesign gallery of quilts 2007

	This wallhanging of 19 x 19 inches is really an experimental piece, which I think turned out rather well in the end. The design is inspired by a mosaic covered sculpture I saw in Murmansk in 2007, as well as by an installation in a nearby Opera House, consisting of transparent discs reflecting light in a multitude of colours. There is more about the inspiration on my blog. I wanted to explore how I could make the circles both overlapping and transparent. From what I learned, I have written up a set of instructions, which can be downloaded here. Below are some more details of the quilt.
